Thank you, that’s so nice.” She skimmed a few pages of the first chapter. “I’ll be sure to give you a review,” she laughed. Tilting her head curiously with a smile, she asked,” I assume this is what you want to do? Be a writer?” |

"That's so weird; given my interests span mostly to English and Literary subjects but-" Breaking off he looked down then held it out for her to take with a small embarrassed blush, "it's uh, something I wrote this year; i-it only just came onto the shelves a couple days ago - that's my pen name, Scott Masters, it's a - well it's a story about a guy that's looking to find his brother and sister" | ||

She laughed at the wave of his hand, nodding with a small shrug. “Mhmm. It is odd. But we’re knowing each other now right? That’ll make up for it I guess.” Holli took the presented book in her hands, gazing at the title for a moment before opening it to the first page. She looked back at him, eyes wide and brows raised. “You wrote this yourself? Wow. That’s a big deal. A HUGE one.” She smiled genuinely. “Congratulations. I just may have to snatch myself one and read it.” |

"Between working downtown at the bar and going to class I barely have time to spare for any kind of social life. But it's nice to know you're a student here too at least" | ||

Holli gestured to herself, shocked. “I’m in Shangri-La too! How come I’ve never seen you before? Oh my god, that’s just funny.” She laughed before tilting her head, confused. “Odd meeting? What does that mean?” Brows raised, she nodded. “Ooh. I’m sorry to hear that. But when school is over, maybe then you’ll have all the time in the world.” With her eyes and chin, she gestured to the book. “What’s that about?” |
